Famous Composers - 3rd + grade suggested. This lesson covers Baroque to Twentieth Century composers, including Jazz and American songwriters for those interested in music history. This ten page lesson includes thirteen stamps as well as many pictures of foreign stamps. Vocabulary and classification activities are included. Teachers and parents can request a hard copy to make student copies from and stamp packets.

Arizona  A-Z – 3rd+ grades suggested. Designed to supplement the Arizona Symbols lesson. This is a 4th grade requirement. This lesson is five pages long with questions and includes nineteen stamps and seven more stamp pictures that are connected with the great state of Arizona.

What is on Your Plate?Grades 2+ – Students learn about good habits for healthy bodies and good food choices. Questions and answers are included as well as stamps with different types of food. This lesson uses the new government guidelines for determining how much of the food groups to eat. Grades K-1 can use the first two pages. Page 3 is advisable for grades 2+ because of reading levels, answering questions and designing a healthy meal. You decide which pages are best for your students. Flag Geography – Designed for grades 3-5. Second graders at a high level can do the work. The stamps used here show the U.S. flag flying over specific landmarks such as Mt. Rushmore, Yosemite, the Capitol, etc. Students have to read the clues, fill in the blanks, and place the stamps on the correct dots or areas on a U.S. map. Students will need maps and/or globes and possibly use of the Internet to find out where lighthouses are along the coasts. Students will also have to label rivers, oceans, cities and special places on the map. Fulfills Strand 4 Geography -- Locate physical and human features using maps.

Buffalo Soldiers – Designed for grades 4+. Includes ten stamps related to the Buffalo Soldiers. This lesson includes four pages of reading about the Buffalo Soldiers, and a question and answer/vocab page. Five pages total. This lesson includes a lot of information about the Soldiers, including their role in Arizona, as well as drawings by Frederick Remington who spent time in the state. Fulfills 4th grade Buffalo Soldier requirements.

Working Toward Peace – 2nd + grade. Designed for use at one of the January 8th memorial events in Tucson. A worksheet with seven stamps and words to be used for discussion such as, Listen, Acceptance, Learn, Values, Love, Safe, Praise, Cooperate, Help, etc. Famous quotes mentioned are by Mother Teresa, Ben Franklin, and Franklin D. Roosevelt.  Teachers could easily write follow-up questions. At the center of the page is Norman Rockwell's Four Freedoms pictured on stamps. Obviously kids who are the age to remember and understand the events of last year in Tucson could be ready for these discussions and read this page.
